The Drift Golf Club – Tuition – Golf Practice & Lessons in Surrey

We are very fortunate at The Drift Golf Club to have one of the few driving ranges in Surrey with a grass teeing area, this is in use during the Summer months, alternatively we have 20 driving range mats, of which 3 are covered with our ‘DryRainge’ shelter.

The driving range is over 250 yards long and 100 yards wide.

In addition to this we have a practice bunker, chipping green and putting green all within a thirty second walk of the Club House and Pro Shop.

Range ball tokens are available from the Pro Shop and Bar.

30 balls = £3

60 balls = £5

Following 27 years as a successful club professional, Lee grasped the opportunity to set up his Golf Academy at the Drift in 2004.

A Surrey coach since 1987, Lee’s real passion is teaching. Many of his pupils have enjoyed success at the highest level including tour players Gary Orr, Paul Casey and Ross McGowan to name but three, but Lee is equally enthusiastic about his work with club golfers. Regardless of age or experience Lee’s goal for all of his pupils is simply to help each one be the best they can be. “Nobody ever books a lesson because they are playing well and I love the challenge and satisfaction of turning their game around

Individual half hour or one hour lessons on long or short game remain the most popular format and Lee’s Pro Plan is for those who want to see the biggest all round improvement in their game. For the cost of 6 lessons the pupil receives a course of 7 lessons, or 5 lessons plus a course management playing lesson.

During the Drift range redevelopment period, Lee is temporarily conducting his coaching at Sandown Golf Centre in Esher, as a guest coach of the Dominic Toms Golf Academy. He will however continue to conduct playing lessons at the Drift. Details upon request.

For further details check out Lee’s website at or contact him on 0774 007 2000.
